  • Who Will Be Giants’ New Coach

Who Will Be Giants’ New Coach

The New York Giants’ reported list of head coaching candidates includes former Las Vegas Raiders coach and Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce.

Pierce, 47, who started at middle linebacker for the Giants during the final five seasons of his nine-year playing career, was included on a list of candidates that also includes former NFL head coach Mike McCarthy, Green Bay Packers defense coordinator Jeff Hafley, Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo and Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula.

Pierce went 4-13 during his only season as the Raiders’ full-time head coach in 2024, having previously gone 5-4 as an interim during the final nine games of the 2023 season. The former linebacker was hired full-time after an impressive late season run, which included an upset of the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.

The Raiders, however, failed to duplicate that success during a 4-13 season in 2024, which included a 10-game losing streak.

    Giants Defeat Cowboys 34-17

Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart impressed in his finale, going 22-of-32 for 230 yards and two touchdowns, including a highlight-reel 29-yard backhanded flip to tight end Daniel Bellinger and a 13-yard score to running back Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Tracy rushed for 103 yards, while Devin Singletary added a six-yard touchdown. Kicker Ben Sauls hit four field goals, and linebacker Bobby Okereke’s interception set up a score.

The Cowboys, resting starters in the second half, scored via Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah but couldn’t keep pace.

The late wins, however, hurt the Giants’ draft position, dropping them lower in the top five after holding the projected Number one pick just two weeks ago.

  • Jets Crushed By Bills

    Jets Crushed By Bills

They secured the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. And by trading away two of their best defensive players, they now have four picks in the first two rounds of the next two NFL Drafts, and a ton of cap space to make their team better.

But they still have a history of losing that they must overcome.

Their first year under coach Aaron Glenn was supposed to represent a new page, with a roster with plenty of talent and a lot of questions.

Instead, the former Jets star helped this franchise reprint a story it team knows all too well: one of the worst seasons in franchise history.

  • Giants Defeat Raiders, 34-10

    Giants Defeat Raiders, 34-10

Jaxson Dart ran for two touchdowns, Deonte Banks returned a kickoff for another score, and the New York Giants snapped a nine-game losing streak with the road victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, who extended theirs to 10 consecutive outings. Mike Kafka picked up his first victory since becoming interim head coach.

Dart completed 22 of 30 passes for 207 yards and ran for two touchdowns. Dart now has 22 total touchdowns (13 passing, nine rushing) in 11 starts. With one game to go, the No. 25 overall draft pick trails only Charlie Conerly (27 in 1948) and Daniel Jones (26 in 2019) for the most total touchdowns in Giants history by a rookie quarterback.

The 3-13 Giants wrap up the 2025 season with a visit from the Cowboys, who improved to 7-8-1 with a 30-23 victory over the Commanders on Christmas Day. The Giants lost the first leg of the season series in a wild overtime finish at AT&T Stadium in Week 2.

  • Jets Lose to Patriots

    Jets Lose to Patriots

The first half saw the Jets not show up. The Patriots moved the ball at will on offense. They scored a touchdown every time they touched the ball. It was as thorough a beating as you will ever see in the NFL as the Patriots cruised to an insurmountable 35-3 halftime lead. The rest of the game would be extended garbage time.

The Patriots offense proceeded to score their sixth touchdown on another Drake Maye touchdown pass. The score was 42-3 early in the third quarter.

Drake Maye called it a day and Joshua Dobbs replaced him under center. On the first play of the fourth quarter, Jet Breece Hall took a handoff and rambled 59 yards for a touchdown, making the final score 42-10.

The Jets drop to 3-13 on the season. Next week this abomination of a Jets season mercifully ends when they go on the road to play the Buffalo Bills.

  • Vikings Defeat Giants

    Vikings Defeat Giants

In one of the ugliest games of the 2025 NFL season, the (7-8) Minnesota Vikings defeated the (2-13) New York Giants 16-13. The loss was New York’s ninth straight and enhanced their chances of getting the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The two teams had a combined 22 accepted penalties, and the lone offensive touchdown scored all afternoon was a J.J. McCarthy 12-yard run in the second quarter.

To put in perspective how bad this season has been for the Giants, they’ve fired more coaches this year (Brian Daboll, Shane Bowen, and Brian Cox) than they have wins.

The offense was disastrous on Sunday as they were only able to muster 141 yards. But they still could have come away with a victory if Abdul Carter hadn’t lined up offside on a Jevon Holland 96-yard interception return for a touchdown. But as they say, bad teams will find ways to lose.
